Jazz, acoustic and new-age songs that do just what the title says. Put it on to read, think or wind down.
A collection of favourite compositions from the last twenty years, from songs to experimental grooves.
In his early twenties, Shareef had a friend who could play a cheap little keyboard better than much of what was on the radio, without reading a note. That friend kept pushing him to try. Shareef taught himself from library books, found traditional notation hard going, and kept playing anyway.
The music came first. The same struggle later produced EasyKey, a way of writing music that shows exactly which keys to press, so anyone can learn to play.
